Terms of Service.

Runout (myrunout.com) is a web app for cataloging a vinyl record collection, run by a single operator (“we,” loosely). By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@myrunout.com and a human will answer.

01 · The service

Runout lets you catalog records, pressings, and want lists, and offers AI-generated commentary, verdicts, and recommendations about music. We work to keep it fast and available, but it is provided as-is, without warranties. We may change, add, or retire features.

02 · Your account

Sign-in is by email link. You are responsible for access to your email address. One account per person. We may close accounts that abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for anything unlawful.

03 · The subscription

Runout costs $24 per year, billed annually through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime; your access runs to the end of the period you paid for. Prices can change, but never mid-period and never without notice before your next renewal.

04 · Refunds

Not for you? Within the first 30 days of a new subscription, email hello@myrunout.com and you get a full refund, no questions beyond what broke. After 30 days, we do not prorate partial years, but you keep access until your period ends.

05 · Your records, your data

Your collection data belongs to you. You can export it as CSV anytime and take it with you. By enabling a public runout page or sharing a list, you give us permission to display that content to the people you share it with. Turn those off and the content goes private again.

06 · The AI

Verdicts, recommendations, and write-ups are machine-generated opinions grounded in your stated taste. They are for fun and guidance, not fact. A STRONG stamp is not a promise you will love the record, and nothing here is a valuation or investment advice. Fair daily usage limits apply to AI features so one account cannot run up the whole platform’s bill.

07 · Acceptable use

Do not scrape the service, resell access, upload content you have no right to share, or use Runout to harass anyone. Cover photos you upload should be photos of records you own.

08 · Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost data beyond our reasonable control, or the money you spend on records because the AI said STRONG.

09 · Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will note it before your next renewal. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California. Questions: hello@myrunout.com.
