Privacy Policy.

The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we never sell it, there are no ads, and you can export or delete everything. The longer version follows.

01 · What we collect

Your email address (it is your account). Your collection data: records, pressings, notes, want lists, photos you upload, and the taste profile you write. If you connect Spotify, your recent plays and top tracks. Basic usage analytics via Google Analytics (pages visited, buttons clicked) to understand what works. Payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see your card number.

02 · What we do with it

Run the app. Your taste profile and a summary of your collection are sent to OpenAI to generate verdicts, recommendations, and write-ups; OpenAI processes it to answer and does not use API data to train its models. Album and artist lookups query Spotify, Discogs, and TheAudioDB with artist and title names only. Sign-in emails are delivered through Resend.

03 · What we never do

Sell your data. Share your email. Show ads. Send marketing you did not ask for. The only email Runout sends is the sign-in link you request and receipts for your subscription.

04 · What is public

Nothing, by default. If you turn on your public runout page, the name, photo, synopsis, and records you chose to show become visible to anyone with the link. Shared lists are visible to anyone holding the link, and show your display name. Turn either off in Settings and they go dark.

05 · Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and photo storage) and the site is served by Vercel, both in the United States. Access to the production database is limited to the operator.

06 · Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure visits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

07 · Your controls

Export your collection and want list as CSV from Settings, anytime. Disconnect Spotify in Settings and we stop reading your plays. Delete your account yourself in Settings, under Membership: deletion cancels any subscription and permanently removes your records, notes, photos, and lists. Prefer email? Write to hello@myrunout.com from your account address and it is done for you within 30 days.

08 · Changes and contact

If this policy changes meaningfully, we will note it in the app. Questions, concerns, or deletion requests: hello@myrunout.com. A human reads it.
